Busy Week, but, not like the last few!

Week full of work and babies! Good week, we were very busy with work, got Gina's finger checked out at the doc, its doing good and starting to feel a little better, which is really nice. Isaiah, Kaiti and Eva are spending the weekend again with us, so the house is a little crowded but its nice to see them (and especially eva), Anah and Steven came over for Dinner on Wednesday night so we got to play with Kiedis, which was a blast. Sunday is Micah's Birthday, we are having a "Homemade Chinese Buffet" with Fried Rice, Chinese noodles, BBQ Pork, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Stir Fry Chicken, Tempura Shrimp, Wontons, Egg Rolls and.....Cake. The Big 15, see pics next week. Here are some pics of Babies and Micah: First, Kiedis in her Car seat looking all cute, then Eva, sleeping soundly and finally, Micah all decked out in his School Dance suit, hope you all have a good week.

OMG, Busy Crazy Times!!

Not even sure where to begin with this one, its been too long to recap everything, so I will hit the highlights. First, Christmas, we had a great Christmas, nice Christmas Eve and Day, Big Turkey dinner with the family hanging out, lots of great presents, nice time. Isaiah, Kaiti and Eva stayed with us through the weekend, always nice to have Eva around (ok, zay and kaiti too)

(pics are family at Chrismas, a Chrstmas Story on TV and lil Eva) The next week was busy at work, think everyone got a wireless Internet device for presents and we spent the week upgrading speeds, programming routers, just crazy busy. New Years was fun, Gina and I went to our first New Years party in like 15 years, fun. Micah went to a New Years party at his friends house (even girls at the party). New Years Day started, well...., not so well, Gina shut her finger in the car door and about cut it off, she is all bandaged up and in pain, but the docs think she will be able to keep her finger. (Ginas poor finger, looking better)

Micah and I spent some time skiing the fantastic snow up on the really Big Mountain, (Micah at the Big)

We had a great dinner (yes, even with Gina in pain) of Prime Rib and all the fixins. Then, on Jan. 4th, Anah and Steven finally had the beautiful little Baby, Kiedis Alexa Lawrence, 7lbs, 4oz. What a happy time indeed!!

Although lots of great things and scary things happended over the past few weeks, I am hoping everything slows down a bit for the rest of the year! Hope you all had a nice Christmas and New Years, will do a better job of keeping up.

Big Week

Big Week at the Dasen household! Worked way too much. Micah is done with school til next year, off for the holidays. We enjoyed a day of skiing and did a bunch of chores around the house, all ready for Christmas. The big news around is that Kaiti and Eva got out of the Hospital on Thursday, woohoo. Isaiah, Kaiti and Eva are staying at our house for now as Eva has to go to the doctors every day for shots and weigh-ins, nice to have her here. Also, Anah and Steven got thier baby room all ready for Little "K" coming soon, can't wait!!! Here are a few pics of Eva and Anah's baby room, hope you all have a great day, and a Merry Christmas

What a Day!

Every once in a while you have one of those "best days ever". After the normal week of school for Micah and too much work for Gina and I, Saturday rolled around. I got up early, made a nice breakfast, watched a little news on TV, did a little work on the computer, then it all started. SyFy Network had an awesome (goofy, cheesy) show that I watched, then Micah and I headed for the Big Mountain. Skiing was fantastic, we skied every lift on the mountain and really had a blast, stopped for a great lunch, kept skiing, and finally headed home. At home, Gina and I got all dressed up and went to the MontanaSky Christmas party at Mambo's and had some great food and fun with all of our friends. What a great day! Hope you all have a good week and, remember, Christmas is just around the corner.

The Time keeps on moving

The last week sure cruised by! Work, Work, Work. Went to Anahs to help Steven finish off the baby room, visited Eva in the hospital, shes getting bigger and almost ready to move out of the hospital. Gina, Anah, Steven, their friends, Greg and Jenna and I went on the Kalispell Art Walk friday night, it was fun, Gina and I met up with our friends Will and Krysta for some dancing, always fun. Winter is fully upon us, Micah and I are getting ski gear ready for the season which started today, all in all a great week, here are some misc. pics. Hope you all have a great week!!

Like Two Thanksgivings!!

What a great week! Got to see Grandma and Grandpa Dasen for round one of Thanksgiving week, had a wonderful time eating prime rib and just hanging out with them, we miss them being around all the time!! Work was crazy the rest of the week then Thanksgiving, round two, the whole family again plus Scott (Stevens Dad) this time, how nice!! On Wednesday night Gina and I got away a little, went baby clothes shopping and had a nice late dinner at Famos Daves, all in all a GREAT WEEK!

Busy and Wild couple of weeks, last sunday, as most of you know, Isaiah and Kaiti brought lil Eva into the world, about 8 weeks early, but she and Mom are doing GREAT. She has been gaining about an oz per day and is up to almost 4lbs 8oz's!! Isaiah figured it out and said every oz she gains is like him putting on 15 lbs proportionately! I spent part of Sunday working on Anah and Stevens baby room for the pending birth of Anah's lil baby as well, doing out best here to keep the population growing! Looking forward to a nice dinner on Sunday and Thanksgiving Holiday, all just around the corner!!

Halloween Fun

Busy couple of weeks, Anah and Kaiti are looking pregnant! Getting close to baby time, just under 2 months, hard to believe. Gina and I went to a Halloween party last night, it was fun, this will be the first Halloween in over 20 years that we have not gone to Trinity's Family Fun night, not really missing it :) There is already lots of Snow on the Really Big Mountain, looks like its gonna be a good year. Micah is at a speech and debate tourney in Polson today, just got the report, he won 2 out of 3 of his debates, awesome job!! Well, that's about it, will be back soon, hope you all have a great week!

Not even sure what I wrote about last time, its been a while, but here is the recap: Gina and I had a great, but short, trip to Vancouver, WA, Isaiah and Kaiti are doing great in Eureka, they watched as Glacier Bank burned to the ground last week, exciting!! Anah and Steven came over to carve pumpkins and hang for a while and Micah had his first Speech and Debate Meet this weekend, even talked me into judging a round of varsity debate, and he won one of his rounds! Busy weeks! Lets see, where to start....Isaiah and Kaiti are all moved into their place in Eureka and the store is open! They are doing a great job and everyone is happy with them. Micah is in the middle of drivers ed and is really loving going to the High School, went to his open house and got to meet his teachers. He also went to the homecoming dance and, rumor has it, even danced! Anah and Steven are working on the baby room in the middle of both working two jobs. Anah still is working at family health care but is now working at one of my favorite hang outs, City Brew coffee!! Gina's working away for Bank of America which is always busy! Other than that, Gina and I are headed for Vancouver for a meeting on Friday for me, gonna hang out a little and prob. have to shop. Hope all is well and we will post sooner this time (I hope_)

Another week in the books! Micah is in Drivers Ed, driving, studying, etc. Isaiah and Kaiti officially spent their first night in their home in Eureka, still a little left to do on the store but think it will open this upcoming week. Me and Gina are working away, getting ready for Fall and Winter, enjoying life. Anah had her baby shower this weekend, Gina's folks came up for it, nice time (from what I hear anyhow). Having probs with the pics but here is the news: Isaiah and Kaiti are all set up with a home and ready for the big move to Eureka and the opening of the store, kind of exciting. Anah's had a 3d ultrasound last week, it was cool! The fair was crazy, worked like 14 days in a row, tired but sort of fun in a work sort of way. Micah is in Drivers Ed!! Two Weddings in August, Two bachelor parties and two bachelorette parties (Gina and I both crashed the others parties, which was fun). Gina's work is going great, her teams did so good that she go to do a cruise on the Far West and is getting the very coveted job of Permanent Quality control, only 4 positions in the whole company of over 800 people!! Always lots going on around here for sure!!

Slacking on the Posts!!

WAY too long since last post, been crazy busy both at work and at home, lets see, where to even start! On the 2nd of August we celebrated Ginas bday with a huge Chinese meal and awesome cake! The weekend after we had Tonys Bachelor party, was a good time, we all had a blast. Worked like crazy the next week then had rehearsal dinner for tony and Mandy, then Saturday was the wedding, I actually "officiated" the wedding, now everyone is calling me "pastor". Tried to catch up on some chores Sunday, then off to work early on Monday, Wednesday the fair started and right now, Sunday afternoon, i am sitting at our booth for the last day of the fair, after an 80 hour week, i am ready for it to be over!! Tomorrow, back to the grind in the office. Wednesday Micah starts school, kind of crazy how fast the summer went, need to take more time off and enjoy!!

Nice rainy thunder storm morning today so I thought I would update the ol blog, can't believe how long its been, where does time go? Guess we have been busy, busy, busy. Here is the quick update: Micah has been playing Starcraft II and enjoying the summer jet skiing, golfing, etc., Isaiah and Kati are slowly getting ready to move to Eureka, the store is being built out and Isaiah's computer training is about done. Anah and Steven are having lots of summer fun and their big news if finding out that Anah is going to have a baby Girl!! She just sent a text saying "Pink and Glitter", poor Steven, he's gonna be outnumbered, lol. Gina is staying busy at work and keeping up the lawn and enjoying the sun. I am working, just getting over a midsummer cold (yuck) and also enjoying the summer. Hope you all have a great week! Here are a few pics of last weekend.

Beautiful Week

What a nice week here in the Flathead! Hot days, cool nights, lots of sun, all anyone could ask for. Isaiah turned 21 on Friday, we celebrated with a trip to Wassabi for a sushi marathon (yes, you can eat that much sushi!). Anah and Steven are in Seattle with Steven's dad watching a bunch of baseball games, its always fun to see pro sports. Micah got finished with camp, he had a blast and we went to our traditional "Flathead Lake Monster burger" at burger town after. Yard work, golf, kayaking, swimming and sunburns should round off our weekend. Hope you all have a great week, see ya soon.

Anah and Stevens Birthday

Anah and Steven celebrated 1/4 of a century on July 1st!! We had a nice BBQ, Cake, Ice Cream, all the stuff that makes birthdays toooo much fun. 4th of July weekend, long weekend for Gina, which is really nice. On Sunday Micah starts high school camp. The biggest news is that Isaiah and Kati are moving to Eureka where they are going to run a MontanaSky Store for us which is going to be great, they are excited for the move but its going to be quiet around here! Wow, Early Post!!

Most of the time I do these posts on Saturday or Sunday morning, sometimes I even wait an extra week or so, had a little time and a little news so the post is going today! Great week, hard rain, nice sunshine, thunder storms, work, play, fun, just a nice week. The big news was that Micah had his Golf Clinic all week and ended up winning the 14 to 17 year old chipping competition, great job Micah!! The next Tiger?? Told him to get with it and support his old dad :) USA won soccer, through to the next round, Italy lost out, can't believe it, my heart is out for all our Italian friends. Next round for the US is tomorrow, can't wait!

Nice Days

After almost getting over the tragic recall of the US goal at the world cup putting us into a "must win" position we moved on with the weekend. Had a great Saturday, watched some world cup, did a ton of yard work and had a nice quiet evening of R&R. Anah and Steven are in Sacramento CA on a little vacation, well, dropping off a car and then flying home anyhow. Isaiah and Katy are watching their dogs and Micah is officially the new lawn mower of our home. He starts golf this week after being rained out last week, hopefully the weather will cooperate. Micah and I went to the new Super Walmart yesterday, complete with food court and hospital, yip, hospital in Walmart!! Work is going good and all is well. Hope you all have a good week!

Summer??

After the Picnic at Trinity Camp for Micah's Graduation the week was pretty uneventful. It rained and rained and rained. Wednesday I went to Missoula for a meeting with a new potential business partner with MontanaSky, meeting went well and I made it home before 10pm. The weekend brought the Sunshine. Friday night we went out with some friends and had a good time. Today was beautiful, worked for a bit, Isaiah, Katie and Micah went to Flathead lake for a while, Micah then went to the movie with all his classmates. Gina and I went to home depot for some flowers, got a bunch of stuff done around the yard, I went for a nice hike and it was a wonderful evening by the river. Tomorrow is going to be really nice, looking forward to a great day! Hope you all have a great week!

8th Grade Grad

Nice Weekend, got to see the new pastor of Polson Lutheran Church, Kyle Whaley, had a bbq friday night, Saturday got up early and got all the chores done, Micah and I went to the golf course for a bit, had a nice lunch, did some Costco shopping, Anah and Steven came over for BBQ Burgers and movies, all in all a great day. Sunday we got up and went to church and Micahs graduation from 8th grade, after we went to Trinity Camp for an afternoon of fun and food, home for a lazy Sunday evening and off for another week!!

Memorial Day Weekend

Uneventful but nice! We spent Saturday just doing little projects around the home, Sunday was SyFy Sunday including one of the BEST movies ever made, Mega Piranha!! We spent the afternoon BBQing Ribs and had a great dinner of ribs, corn on the cob, baked beans and potatoes. The kids played games all afternoon. Monday was "get it done" day, lots of home stuff, always nice to kick out. Next weekend with be very busy with Micahs graduation and picnic, almost done with Trinity School after so many years, its gonna be strange. Hope you all have a great week! Confirmation Sunday

Today was Confirmation Day for Micah, and a great one it was. On Friday Micah had his questioning at the church, he did a great job. Saturday after work we had a nice BBQ with Gina's folks and then on Sunday the whole family went to church to see Micah get confirmed and have his first communion. After the service we had a great meal of Shrimp Scampi, Terriaki Kabobs, Crab Salad, potatoes, asparagus and Sushi with everybody, kids played lots of cards and we just had a nice day. Next on the agenda, Micah's 8th grade graduation! Hope you all have a great week!

Can't believe that a month has passed since my last post! Where to Start......Isaiah is working for a collection company, he actually seems to enjoy it, Anah and Steven are busy as always, don't see enough of them. End of April brought the Polson Trade fair which I got to work on behalf of MontanaSky, the following weekend Gina and I escaped for a few days to just hang out and have some fun, the weekend after that it was my Birthday and Mothers Day, didn't do much other than have a nice BBQ with Anah, Steven, Isaiah, Katy, Micah and Gina and I all having a great day. After that I took off for a Dish Network Convention in San Antonio, had a great time and just LOVE San Antonio, had no idea it was such a great city! We got to see ZZ Top, Dana Carvey and other shows at the convetion and spend LOTS of time in classes and lectures, informative and fun! Home now and getting ready for Micah's confirmation questioning on Friday night, confirmation on Sunday, Micah's train trip (to east glacier) on the following week and his graduation from 8th grade and the end of our time at Trinity on June 6th, wow, what a busy time its been and what a busy time is coming up! April, as always, is proving to be an exceptionally busy month, Tax day, lots of work, end of school stuff starting to take place, spring cleaning, yard starting to take off, lots and lots going on. The sad note this week was the passing of our friend and one of our office mascots, Calico, we will miss you Calico!

Another Late Post

Geeze, don't know what up lately, working the past few Saturdays, Easter, more work...the time sure rushes by! Short recap of the past few weeks: Isaiah is searching for a full time job, still working for MontanaSky doing some web design but wants more hours, good luck Zay. Micah has been working out almost every day at the summit, great job, got his 3rd qtr report card, all A's and B's, stellar performance Micah. Anah and Steven are working away, just finally got a washer and dryer so she can do laundry at home. Shes pretty happy about that. Gina is doing great at work and enjoying her evenings hiking and dragging me out to go dance. I am just working and hanging out around the home, nice spot we have. Micah and I have been flying a bit with Fred in the Helicopter, which is always fun. On Easter Sunday we had a "non-traditional" Easter dinner. BBQ Steaks and Chicken with a Baked Potato Bar, Salads, rolls, Green Bean Casserole, great dinner for sure. Me, Gina, Micah, Isaiah, Kati, Anah and Steven all had fun then the kids all went to the movies. Very nice day. Well, that's about it, see ya next time.

Was just checking the blog and realized its been like 3 weeks since i posted, what up with that?? So, since the last post we did our LAST Trinity Basketball Tourny, lots of work, lots of time, but lots of fun, gonna kinda miss that (a little). Gina and I took a quick trip to Spokane for our anniversary, it was fun, always is to get out of town for a day or two. Micah and I have been flying with Fred in the helicopter, thats always fun, we have been busy at work and its looking like spring, even some green grass springing up here and there. We are all looking forward to a great rest of the year, hard to believe that Micah only has one quarter of school left then off to the highschool. March has started out with a bang for sure and looks to be a busy month for the family. Last week I worked a bunch as did Gina, Micah had youth group, confirmation, science fair (he got 2nd place), roller skating party, Isaiah is searching for a job, maybe found one, Anah and Steven are in Las Vegas with friends and Stevens brother and dad, sure they are having a great time! Coming up is our anniversary, Trinity Girls basketball tourney, a quick trip to Spokane to celebrate our anniversary (the week after) a st. patricks party, on and on and on. Talk about a short month! March and Spring around the corner, which is nice. This last week (sorry didn't even pull out the camera) was super busy. Monday we took Fred out to dinner for his birthday to famous daves, Gina, Me, Isaiah, Kati, Micah and Fred all had a great time and really enjoyed the company. Tuesday, Gina got sick, went to the doc and found out she had pneumonia, got medicine and is almost better already, she even missed a day of work, which never happens, I also got sick, not as bad, but made the work week tough. Micah had a sock hop dance which he really enjoyed, We went to dinner with Steven and Anah, all in all, had a great week even with the sickness. Upcoming, finishing Micahs science experiment for the science fair, getting ready for our LAST basketball tourney and tonight, US v Canada in Hockey, can't wait, go USA!

A Beautiful Day in the Flathead!

What a nice day! Sunny, warm, still snow on the Big Mountain, watching the Olympics, a few chores around the house, just a nice quiet Saturday. The last week we all settled back into the routine after vacation, School, Work, etc. Valentines day was nice, got Gina some flowers, cards, candles, all the nessicary items, Isaiah and Kati went to a nice dinner, Isaiah even wore a tie!! Other than that, not much going on, hope all have a nice week

After Micah's birthday, the rest of January was a blur of work, skiing and playing. February started, the first part screamed right by us then off to Portland. Gina and I had a great time keeping up with Micah, we spent time in the Mall with all the kids (of course Gina managed to do a little shopping), went to the Family Fun Center, met up with some old friends, went to OMSI and watched IMAX, went to a bunch of basketball games, and even managed to go to a club in downtown Portland with some friends. All in all a great time. The big news was that Micah won the "champion of character" award and got to carry the tourney flag out in front of all the people and be recognized with a little bio about him, of course, Gina cried, even I got a prideful lump in my throat. All in all, a wonderful trip.

Today Micah turned 14 years old, it was a nice day, the boys and I went skiing up at the big mountain, had a great lunch at Ed and Mullys, enjoyed skiing tons, headed back to town, bbq'ed up some ribs and chicken while Isaiah and his Girlfriend Katie took Micah to the movies, Anah and Steven came over for our dinner that, besides the bbq, had a Baked Potato Bar, it was great, we had cake and ice cream, Micah opened his presents and the day was over. Really nice for sure. See ya all next post!

2010 is here to stay, busy week, busy home, busy work! Weather has been cold, skiing has been great and we are ready to get the year on the way. Not much happened this week, other than the COLD, nicer today though, here are a few pics from the past week.

What a nice weekend, had a great new years eve with Gina and Micah, we just hung out, ate some snacks, welcomed in 2010 in quiet style. On New Years day we stayed at home, did a few chores and had a huge chinese buffet with Isaiah, Kati (zay's girl friend), Anah (who made the best homemade crab ragoons and coconut shrimp), Steven, Micah and Gina and I, it was wonderful and may be a new New Years tradition. Saturday Micah and I went up to the Big Mountian Skiing and Gina went hiking through the snow covered field next to the river, in her loop, today we went to church and then I went skiing in the thick fog and deep powder, couldn't have been a better weekend. The only draw back is that tomorrow its back to work for Gina and I and back to school for Micah, oh well, lots of great stuff coming up!

Skiing has been Fun, Micahs Christmas Concert was great, Our company Christmas party was fun, Gina and I had a GREAT Christmas indeed, we had a wonderful dinner with Micah, Isaiah, Anah, Steven and Steven's Dad and Brother, the Prime Rib was wonderful and the company fantastic. A couple more basketball games all finished up, only a few more to go and the season is already done!! Gina and the boys had most of the week off which has been nice for sure. Our Thanksgiving dinner was fantastic, Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Fluff, Cranberries, Gravy, Rolls, Shrimp filled Puff Balls, Pasty's, Fudge, Relish Tray and Anah's own Pumpkin Pie, we all ate way toooo much and it took several hours before we could move, Gina's folks came up from Butte to join us, which was really nice, our first holiday meal in our new home. Later, Isaiah, Micah and I went to Ninja Assassins at the Theatre, is was just a great day! Had to work Friday and Saturday and next week is the Big Trinity 8th grade boys Basketball tourny, will be a busy week but I'm sure we will make it through. After a busy week of Work, Bball Games, Work Stuff and the such, Saturday was kind of nice, got a bunch of stuff done around the house, had a great bbq on Saturday Night, went to church and confirmation Sunday morning, nice pizza with the family Sunday afternoon, even got a little snow!! We are all Looking foward to Thanksgiving holiday, got all the food ready to cook, coming soon, Micah's Basketball Tourny and the Opening Day of Ski Season! We can't wait!!

It was a busy week at the Dasen's. Work was crazy as half the staff was at home with h1n1, geeze! Monday had a meeting, Tuesday had basketball, Wednesday had another meeting, Thursday had basketball, Friday had a grand opening of a business i had to go to, and finally the week was over, or was it. Saturday morning the whole family and Fred got to work, we trenched about 400 feet and glued and laid conduit, put in the sweeps and back filled for phone lines. Went from about 8am until around 6pm, we finished off the day by heading to Mooses for pizza. Today we all slept in a bit, got Ginas snow tires on, did the grocery shopping and had Pizza Sunday, busy week and another one around the corner but for now, just enjoying the Amazing Race! Go Globetrotters!! Thanksgiving break is coming up soon, which is gonna be nice, it ill be intereting to see how 10 people fit in the new house for dinner! See ya sll soon and have a great week.

Micah is in the middle of basketball, after a rough start the team is now at 3w, 2L, nice playing Micah! He has hit a few great shots and is getting pretty darn good. Its nice to be going to games again. Today, Micah sings at church, then confirmation, then PIZZA DAY! Other than that, the week was full of meetings, work and thats about it. Thats right, its already Halloween, the end of October, time to think about........SKIING!! The boys and I can't wait for ski season, its getting close. The week was busy for sure. Micah is playing basketball and having a ball (no pun intended). Its fun going to games. Now that Gina is part of the management team at work, she got to do the Thriller dance with her team in front of all 600 of the employees, she was a zombie, she also had camo day, which was fun as well. What a nice weekend it was, although I worked on Saturday, the evening was great and Sunday was a joy. We had a nice fire on Saturday night

Sunday was beautiful, we got lots of chores done around the house, Anah and Steven came over for Pizza day, then all the kids headed to Anah's house for a "cheesy horror show day", Gina and I went to dinner with Fred, it was really nice. Hope you all have a great week!

A brief pause in Winter to try and squeeze a little fall in, its actually kind of a nice day today, sunny, warmer, can't beat it!! Nice week, Gina is settling into her new position in Quality Control for Bank of America, I have been crazy busy at work, the boys are working out lots at the Summit, Micah is starting Basketball, I am feeling ski season in the air, pretty excited about hitting the slopes this year. Spending Saturday in the Office, tomorrow doing some chores around the home, should be a nice weekend. Fall is officially here, chilly mornings, cool days, one of my favorite times of the year. The last week was pretty good, the big news is that Gina got a promotion at work, she is now a trainer, which is really nice, she dosen't have to be on the phones all day. Also, we painted the outside of our new house, it looks much nicer now, almost like new (pic included). Got lots of other stuff done around the home, getting closer and closer to being "settled". Last night we went to Jagz with Steven, Anah and Scott (Stevens Dad) for dinner, it was wonderful, a nice treat for sure. Today we have Sunday confirmation with Micah, then, we are reviving the "Sunday Pizza Day". Hope you all have a great day, see ya soon!

Great week, got a little more settled, the big news is the dishwasher!! Didn't think we would miss it as much as we did but MAN iits nice to have back. Micah has been the working sidekick around the grounds, moving rocks, trees, copilot, hes been working hard! Isaiah is playing lots of music, gutiar, piano and urdu. He has also been building websites for the company like www.montanasky.tv Gina is super busy making our house a home and we are waiting to see about her promotion at work. Well, mostly a happy Saturday, I am working but it is beautiful out and will be done at 4pm today. We made a lot of progress on the new home this past week, starting to settle in and its starting to look like home. Micah is off camping with some buddies this weekend, Isaiah is off gaming, Gina is home enjoying the sun, I am sure. After a couple of solid weeks of building, cleaning, packing and moving in between school starting, youth group stuff, work and whatever else came along, we are moved!! A little exhausted but moved. I put a few pics up, more to come, hope all is well and we are praying for Kim and Jeremy.

Wow, how time flies!! After the fair it got really busy, after some pushing from some "Blog Followers" (Hi Mom) I thought I better get with the program. First, I will be updating the website in the next few days, so hold tight :) Anyhow, the new place is coming right along, the flooring is almost done, got all the laminate finished and have most of the kitchen, dining, living room and office moved, carpet is in the bedrooms, got the Dish put up for satellite last night around 10pm, working on Internet, painting, moving trees with a crane, paving, deck is finished, lots of work, but we are having a blast!! Will post some pics soon, still trying to figure out where to put all our stuff in this much smaller home. Will update soon.

The NW Montana Fair is in full swing and man is it crazy, busy, trying to get stuff done, trying to get the house in order, too much to do, tooooooo little time! Worked yesterday from 5:30 am until 11pm, got back on it today at 6am, going til around 10 tonight, 12 days in a row, 8 left, then time to move into the new place, I hope!! Haven't taken any pics lately, again, so I vow to get with it in the upcoming days, have a great day and will be checking in soon.

The fair is here, all set up and ready to go with the MontanaSky booth, will be a busy week! We spent the weekend painting the new place, flooring going in thursday and friday, hope to start the slow move process maybe on Saturday if I can get away from the fair. We are excited and impatient! We also have school coming up for Micah, college for Isaiah and can't believe that summer is quickly drawing to a close. Had a great BBQ out at our new place on Sunday of last week durring the painting marathon. We also have been talking, investigating, researching and planning doing some "farming" at our place. We are on 36 acres and have water rights to the river, looking at irrigation equipment and trying to figure out the right stuff to grow, maybe garlic, horse radish, peppers (make hot sauce), organic veggies (got super one foods to agree to sell whatever we grow), who knows, it will be a great project and interesting to see where it goes. Have fallen down on the pics a little, but will have a bunch on the next post.

Summer Fun and Ginas Bday

Summer fun at its very best! Took off work a little early on Friday to pack and hook up the camper then off to Bitterroot lake. Anah, Steven and Scott (Steven's dad) all threw their stuff together on short notice and we spent the weekend BBQing, Jet Skiing, Swimming, hanging at the campfire, s'mores and my really piratey Rum Punch. We had a great time for sure. Next on the agenda-moving!! We had hoped to move in October but it looks like its going to be more like the end of august or the beginning of september, coming super fast and we are excited! Weekend Update

The weekend is drawing to a close and we had a great one for sure. Saturday was an epic day. Went skateboarding for a while nice and early in the morning then headed out on a 20 mile bike ride in honor of the Tour de France. Did a few chores around the home then Micah, Gina and I headed to the lake for the day, it was beautiful out at painted rocks and we went swimming, snorkeling, cliff jumping, climbing, kayaking and even a little sun burning. After the lake we had BBQ Steaks and tried to eat about 100 pounds of flathead lake cherries. Now, we are looking forward to seeing Grandma and Grandpa!!

Friday Night was Pizza night for us after a grueling work week. Ended up putting in 65 hours in this week and am sort of exhausted! On the bright side, we got closer to finding our new home, got a few details worked out and just a few more left. The home we are looking at has some remodeling that needs to happen before we move in so we are hoping to move in October (before the snow flies anyhow). Have a fantastic weekend planned and are looking forward to visiting Mom and Dad!! Will prob. update later this weekend when we have something exciting to talk about.

Weekend Update

Well, the weekend is drawing to a close, and, as usual, it was a busy one. So much went on that I had to write a follow up to the last post. Micah is all settled in after camp, we cleaned his room all out and made it real nice, he loves it, its a "young man" room instead of a "kid" room now. On Saturday, after skateboarding (got a pic of what the park looks like at daybreak) and hiking, we spent a big part of the day discussing moving into a new place. We are going to do some remodeling, but it looks like once all is done (maybe October-ish, or sooner) we will be moving to a spot on the stillwater river, the house is smaller and not as "nice" as the one we are in, but, location, location, location! Should be a great move, plus, cost only about half as much as we are paying so maybe we can afford to do some stuff like get Gina's car fixed, dentist, etc. Today, after skateboarding, kayaking and a nice long Bike ride (GO LANCE), we spent the afternoon swimming at foys lake. Isaiah spent the last 5 days camping with his girlfriend and family, and their church up at middle Thompson lake, he just got home and had a great time (also, learned to apperciate how his Dad's organization makes camping so enjoyable). A week in the books

What a week its been. Monday it rained like crazy, got a little nicer on Tuesday then in the 90's for the rest of the week, and today, 100 maybe. I know that isn't hot for the AZ bunch, but its pretty toasty for us up here in the North country! I picked up Micah from camp yesterday and did the traditional stop at Burger Town in Bigfork for a Flathead Lake Monster Burger, it was great as always. He had a wonderful time at camp and is now looking forward to High School camp and even being a "counselor in training" next year. A little sun burned, a little tired, just how you should be after camp. He also won the Chess Tourny at camp, which was fun, and is looking forward to the rest of the summer! Isaiah is also camping right now, he took off on Thursday to go with his girl friend and family to Thompson lake, sure he is having fun. Gina and I experienced "empty nester" syndrome, which was kind of nice, but strange. Other than that, working out, working, playing, same old stuff. Gina, Micah and I were Kayaking yesterday afternoon, we rounded a corner and about 15 feet away two bald Eagles suddenly took off from the river, they flew to a couple of trees where they sat and watched, here are some pics of our afternoon long trip, it was kind of cool!

We celebrated isaiah's 20th bday on Thursday night with a menu developed by Isaiah, for Isaiah, get this: Sushi with big BBQ Hamburgers and Fries. Kind of a weird combo, but it was really nice. We ended the night with cake and ice cream. Anah and Steven came over for the party (Zay's girlfriend was unable to come :( so he was a little bummed out), but we all had a great time all in all. After a few wonderful days off of fun and freedom, Gina and I are back at the grind. We had a

great 4th of July weekend and can't wait for the next one. Fred Weber came over for BBQ and we all had a nice time, then fireworks (not very many, but enough to be fun) then we watched all the fireworks going off all over the place, it was a nice day for sure. Had a great late afternoon kayak yesterday and look forward to a nice 4th ourselves, although, we really don't know what to do, since Gina and I were married we have always had big family events, first, hanging out at the resort in cdlane with and Grandpa Bliss and all the family, then hanging at the pool parties at Mom and Dads, then, camping at Holland lake with Gina's family, now.........we are kind of lost! Nice week, went for a few runs and bike rides, kept up with my workouts, had lots of work to do. I am on a "mini-vacation" for 4 days, which is pretty nice, doing some swimming, kayaking, hiking and camping. Isaiah and his girl friend Laura went Kayaking and Isaiah got really sunburned but had a good time none the less. Last night we celebrated Anah and Stevens 24th birthday with a Cajun Feast of Calm Chowder, Jambalaya and Cajun shrimp with noodles followed by a cake baked by Micah himself, it was a nice evening. After dinner I hooked up a flag pole that we stock at work for wireless towers, kind of cool, here is a few pics, Isaiah and his girlfriend kayaking, Anah and Steven's birthday and the Flag Pole. Last Weekend of June already!

Just got done with the last weekend of June, hard to believe, the summer is sailing by fast, but we are trying to make the most of it for sure. Last week was busy at work so didn't have a lot of extra time, but it was a great week non the less. Went hiking on Saturday (before work, it was my Saturday to work), skateboarding this morning (love it early in the morning when I am the only person around). Went to church, had family brunch, then Micah and I headed up to the really Big Mountain again for some Mountain Biking, it was a blast, around 85 degrees, sunny, warm, just a nice day to be up at the mountain and the biking was GREAT! Getting ready for a short work week and our annual 4th of July camping trip, really looking forward to an extra day off, should be a lot of fun. Its been a busy week, at work, at home, at play. Took Micah to the Moster Truck races Saturday night, we went Kayaking and then today we went up to the Big Mountain for the opening trial of the Zip lines, all lots of fun. Work has been crazy as always, Gina (might have said this before) got a new schedule which is great, she works 4-10 hour days, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, also is working during the days so we actually get to see her and we all have weekends off. The big news is that Isaiah now has a girlfriend, a nice cute girl from Ireland who moved here with her family several years ago, he is in love and its kind of funny, his first real girlfriend and all. Can't believe its been so long!

Wow, I was just looking at my last post, can't believe its been so long! As usual, we have been super busy indeed. Kayaking, Hiking, Biking, Running and work. Pretty much sum's it all up. The first week of Micah's summer was just full of activities and the summer is off to a banner start. Last week Anah and Micah went kayaking on the lake and had a great time, I had to go to Libby to work for a while and have been very busy. due to an injury my workouts have suffered but not completely so still getting in shape. Isaiah has been working on websites for MonanaSky, and, the big news, I think Gina got her schedule changed and now is going to be working "normal" hours with weekends off, its been four years since we both had weekends off together! How nice is that!! Anah and Steven have been really busy, they are also biking and spending time at the lake. Tonight is Monster Trucks at the fair grounds and a day full of yard work and kayaking and going for a hike pretty quick so it should be fantastic. The weather is beautiful and we are ready to roll. Micah's Last Day of School!

Micah made it through the 7th grade!! Great report card, all A's and a couple of B's, great year, great teachers, lots of fun. Now that school is over, its time for summer to kick into full gear, however, it looks like, in typical Montana fashion, the weather isn't going to cooperate too much during the month of June, oh well, its still going to be lots of fun. Great week here at the Dasen home, other than a small injury to my upper ribs due to a slight mis-step in Kung Fu, it only hurts when I breathe, talk, laugh, eat, stand, sit or lay down, other than that, no problem. Work has been crazy again this week, working with a whole new management software, but keeping my team going strong and its really helping me keep everyone on track! Well, will prob. write again the weekend, just wanted to pat micah on the back for a great year!

Another Beautiful Weekend

After a super busy week at work its turned out to be yet another beautiful weekend. Got up bright and early and went for a hike/run up the lone pine trail, just beautiful other than the mosquitoes! They were a little heavy on parts of the hike up to say the least. Got home, am resting a bit and ready for yard work, kayaking and then....PIZZA!! I love saturdays when I relax my healthy eating habits. Micah is pretty much done with school, monday he goes hiking and bbq-ing, tuesday, biking and Ice Cream, Wednesday, cleaning up the desk and handing in books, and Thursday, the final day of the year! Isaiah is long boarding and getting ready to go on a kayak run with Curtis, and he started playing guitar for the church praise band. Gina is working today after her days off and is really enjoying the great weather. Anah and Steven have been camping and running around tons already this spring and their home is looking great. Memorial Day Summer Fun

Memorial Day weekend, a time to remember all the loved ones that have left us and a time to remember the sacrifices so many have made. It also signifies the first of summer for us and a great Memorial Day it was. Started out with an early morning hike up a mountain with a nice run back down, then a good workout, mowing and weedeating the lawn, kayaking down the river with Micah and finally a good ol' summer bbq with hot dogs, shrimp salad and baked beans. We also squeezed in a few ping pong games and managed to get a sunburn. A super day for sure, now, a little R&R before tomorrows day back at the grind. Happy Birthday to Dad! Looks like its going to be a hot one down in sunny AZ! In the interest of space and time, I will not post your age on the blog :) Its Memorial Day Weekend! And, its off to a great start. Yesterday I took most of the day off of work and we got tons of stuff done. Went for a Run, worked out, Isaiah and I went kayaking down the river, got summer tires put on the car, got the camper ready for the season, Gina got the flowers planted, had a great BBQ and most of the yard work is done. The rest of the weekend looks nice, warm and sunny, we are looking forward to the extra days off and will be blogging later to update the weekend.

Yet Another Post!

Just posted yesterday and already back at it. One thing I notice is that when I only take off one or two days a month I really take advantage of the day off! Went to Church last night and today was great, I actually slept in until almost 9AM, don't even remember the last time I slept that late, it was kind of nice. Once I got moving for the day I mowed the lawn, cleaned up the yard and did a few other chores. Gina had a great day in the sun, Micah and I played a few ping pong games, went and got his hair cut, stopped at sportsman to dream about all the cool stuff, came home and had a nice lunch, chatted with the neighbors for a bit, Micah and I went kayaking at the lake, played a little ping pong tourny with the boys, cleaned the garage, walked the dog, went to the grocery store and now......the Survivor finals!! Nice day.

A beautiful Saturday morning here in Kalispell for sure! Had a great week of work and being home after my trip to Denver (Howie Mandel still has me laughing now and then). Another day of work, but next week I am taking four days off to catch up on work around the home, play and just hang out, really looking forward to that! We have lots of stuff going on as usual and are looking forward to a great rest of the spring and summer. Gina is struggling at work with neurological "crap" that we think is brought on by too much time in front of a computer screen in combo with noise through her headset, kind of weird, but like a strobe light effect, its bringing on seizure activity, she hasn't had a grand maul, but keeps feeling it coming on. Its not super serious, more of a scarry annoyance, so keep her in your prayers while we work through it. Other than that, life is good!

Well, a great trip to Denver, the Dish Network show was really great, got lots of great informaion, lots of exciting stuff going on, it was cool to be here with the all the networks and stuff, MTV did the entertainment so we got to see REO Speedwagon on Thursday night, got to go to a Baseball game on Friday night and the best was Howie Mandel last night, he was so funny my gut hurt for hours. We got there early so go seats right up front, could have touched him, but it was really funny. The convention went from 7:30 am til around 11pm each day so kind of tired but it was great, got lots of junk from all the tv people. We also got to chat with the Main boss from Dish for about an hour, just us guys from Montana, so that was cool, we made some headway with some of the things we would like to do as a company with Dish, so that was really good too. Miss all you guys, with I could see you all on this Mothers Day! Will be posting some pictures soon. Have a great Mothers Day!!

Happy May Day, first day of the month and a friday at that. Happy to have a weekend off, need to get lots done around the home and ready to rock. The last few weeks, although very busy, were very good. Workouts kicked butt, trade shows brought in lots of business and all is well. Micah spent the day with his class doing highway clean up, Isaiah spent the day with Curtis watching Xmen, eating at 5 guys burgers and fries (cant wait to try it tomorrow on my "day off of Diet" day). Greetings from the Dasen's! Another week is in the books. Not the most exciting week but had some Great moments. On Easter Sunday got up early and went to the sunrise service at Trinity, it was a wonderful service and started the day out perfect. Later, Isaiah returned from his spring break trip in Calgary (glad he made it back), I cooked a big Easter Dinner of Ham with all the trimmings, Anah and Steven came over for the day and we really had a nice day. The week was a marathon work week and still continues, have the builders showcase that I am doing this weekend, both today and tomorrow, next week has lots of work followed by the Polson trade fair, then off to Denver for meetings at Dish Network. Busy but good. Me and the boys have been working out lots, our first month of the new workout plan is done and we are all getting into shape. Looking forward to some fun stuff coming up and for summer!!!!!!! Gina was able to get in the sun a little between work, her job is going good and she is ready for summer as well. Taxes are due, work is crazy, Isaiah is in Calgary and heading home today, Micah's spring break is winding down, Me and Gina have Easter off together, we have a big dinner planned (a little late for Easter so Isaiah can join us), the Easter Bunny came to the house and I am heading to sunrise service at 6:30 this am. Geeze, where does the time go! Been busy, thats for sure, Micah took a day off school last week to go skiing, last week of the season and all, great times, great times. Gina started her new schedule at work, which is nice. Isaiah is heading to Calgary with a bunch of buddies for spring break. Anah and Steven are hanging with stevens bro, scotty, before he heads to Afghanastan and I am super busy at work, have several trade show coming up and much more. Micah, Isaiah and I have been working out like crazy, have a new program which is really tough and really fun. Also, we have been eating healthy and are looking forward to a busy, active summer. 26th Anniversary

Today was our 26th anniversary! I worked all day, gina worked all night, not alot of celebration, however, I did spend the evening cooking Chow Mein and Orange Chicken, trying to match Panda Express. It turned out ok, but with a few recipe adjustments, it could be great! Made tons, hope Gina likes it. On a rather funny note, Gina bought a card for me last week, I bought a card for her yesterday, I found the last one of its kind at Hallmark. Signed it, wrote a cute note and had it waiting for her this morning. A little later I talked to her and she said, your card is funny, i was thinking she found a funny card for me. When I got home, I saw her "funny" card, it was the exact same card as I bought her! It was funny, guess we have been married a long time.

What a busy March it has been! The big news, we lost a great teacher, mentor and friend this week with the passing of Bill Ludwig, he will be missed by all of us but we are delighted that he is in a better place. Work has been super busy for both Gina and I, we are thankful for our good jobs! The last several days we have been working the Trinity 8th grade girls baskeball tournament. Basically, its been show up at work between 6 and 7am, try to catch up on everything, run to stores and Glacier Wholesalers, get supplies for the tourny, head to the school, open up the gym, work til 9 or 10 at night, run home and do it again. The last three days have been crazy, but its done! Good times, but I am worn out, looking forward to a nice, relaxing day at home. Hope everyone is well and we hope to see you all soon.

Great week, had lots to do at work, enjoyed the family and on Saturday we had an openhouse at MontanaSky. Spent most of the day on the radio talking about Internet stuff, had lots of people show up, nice success. Looking toward the Trinity Girls bball tourny this upcoming week, no end of the busy-ness in site! Hope all had a great week and talk to you soon.

Weekly update, but not much to update! Settled back into work after portland trip, and work it is. Next weekend I have an open house at MontanaSky, we will see how it goes, will be cooking hot dogs and have the radio stations there, a busy time at work. Isaiah is doing great in college, honors student (and reaping the rewards of additional scholarships because of it) and is hoping to go the the Meadowlands for the MLG tourny in April. Micah is skiing a bunch, heading up today while dad works :( The weather has been beautiful lately, sunny and warm, for this time of year anyhow, had a nice bbq last night and feeling like i might be ready for summer. Gina's job is going well, she even said "I am enjoying it" which is nice. My work week actually went exceptional, one of those weeks where all the "loose ends" came together and lots of items that have been hanging out there got finished, which always feels nice. Thats about it, hope all is well with everyone and see ya next week.

Home Again!

We made it home from the Big Portland trip. We had tons of fun and stayed quite busy for sure. We drove over all day on Wednesday, found our hotel and awaited the bus to arrive with Micah on board. Around 8pm the bus got to Concordia College with a load of tired kids, they set up their sleeping area and headed to bed. Thursday we watched basketball games and then went to the family fun center where Micah played tons of laser tag and go carts. Friday we got Micah to his Math Competition, he did great, we spent the evening at the Mall and then went to Imax Theatre. Saturday he spent almost the entire day playing chess where he really did spectacular. Around 50 of the best brainiacs in the Lutheran School system faced off, Micah ended up in 6th place, won 4 out of 5 games (one little mistake or he could have taken it all!), but what a great run. Then, the long drive home! Gina spent most of the time eating at Panda Express and wondering around the mall. All in all a great trip! Will post more later, hope everyone is well.

Big Week coming up!

After a busy week of work and a busy weekend of skiing and grocery shopping and organizing and doing taxes, the next week will be great. Today (Sunday) is a lazy sittin' round the house day, a calm before the storm. Monday is going to be crazy at work, lots to do, lots to catch up on and long days on the horizon. Packing at night, getting the house ready to be gone (Zay is staying to care for the dogs and to keep the place in tact) then the same work day on Tuesday. Wednesday early morning we will drop off Micah at Trinity for the long bus ride and then make our way to Portland, should be a great trip, we are really looking forward to it! MontanaSky Open House

Last night I had an open house for MontanaSky and the Kalispell Chamber. I had spent a lot of time (and company money) getting ready, had a great Taco bar from Qdoba, had a bunch of brochures printed, had everyone clean up the office and organize, it was a big undertaking. It was supposed to start at 5pm and go for a couple of hours. Anyhow, 5:00 comes, no one is there yet, I was getting a little nervous, you know, throw a party and no one comes. Anyhow, around 5 minutes after 5, people started showing up, we had about 120 total show up, all the food was gone, it really turned out great. What a relief and I was really happy with the event. Gina, Isaiah and Micah came up for Taco's, lots of other business people I know showed up, talked til I was horse and still got home in time to see American Idol.

One of the very best things I have been enjoying this year is the Daily Audio Bible. My favorite reader of all time, Brian, reads the bible completely through in one year. He reads from many different translations, so you have to be open to that, but the message is always great! His main site is www.dailyaudiobible.com and is great. What a great day! We love super bowl day......fun, food, great game and commercials! Had a great week and were very busy, updated newletters and other stuff on the family website, got lots of work done, Micah went Skiing, Isaiah went to a LAN (game party) and Gina has the day off for the super bowl, what a great day indeed. Hope you all have fun and GO ARIZONA!!

Skiing, Work and More

Skiing Saturday was fun but a little chilly, it was zero on the summit but the wind made it real cold for sure, Micah, his buddy Tod and I managed to get a full day of skiing in with a warm up stop here and there, we need some more snow but a day of skiing is always great! Isaiah is back in the groove of college, taking a bunch of art classes again and carrying a full load. Gina's job is going ok, if they would just quit moving her around so she can settle it, she is in high demand so keeps "movin on up". I had a long week at work, business is good but never enough time in the day. Trying to keep up on working out and its paying off on the slopes, but i NEED to go to bed earlier so i can get up on time.

Other than work, the big fun was Micah's birthday. Fun it was! After school on Friday we brought Micah's best friend Todd home, the boys hung out, played games and basically had a good time, dinner, we went to the HuHot Mongolian grill and then to the movie Mall Cop. Saturday morning we got up and headed right to the big mountain for a day of skiing, it could not have been better. An inversion put us in the sunshine all day, it was warm, sunny, good snow, we skiied until we couldn't anymore and then went to Dos Amigos in Whitefish for dinner, a perfect birthday, a perfect day. As far as I go, the working out is paying off, I was able to ski countless runs without killing myself, which is nice. Gina has the next four days off because her normal schedule has Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday off but Monday is a holiday for banks so she gets a nice break! Hope all is well with everybody and have a nice week!
