Big Week

Big Week at the Dasen household! Worked way too much. Micah is done with school til next year, off for the holidays. We enjoyed a day of skiing and did a bunch of chores around the house, all ready for Christmas. The big news around is that Kaiti and Eva got out of the Hospital on Thursday, woohoo. Isaiah, Kaiti and Eva are staying at our house for now as Eva has to go to the doctors every day for shots and weigh-ins, nice to have her here. What a Day!

Every once in a while you have one of those "best days ever". After the normal week of school for Micah and too much work for Gina and I, Saturday rolled around. I got up early, made a nice breakfast, watched a little news on TV, did a little work on the computer, then it all started. SyFy Network had an awesome (goofy, cheesy) show that I watched, then Micah and I headed for the Big Mountain. Skiing was fantastic, we skied every lift on the mountain and really had a blast, stopped for a great lunch, kept skiing, and finally headed home. At home, Gina and I got all dressed up and went to the MontanaSky Christmas party at Mambo's and had some great food and fun with all of our friends. What a great day! The Time keeps on moving

The last week sure cruised by! Work, Work, Work. Went to Anahs to help Steven finish off the baby room, visited Eva in the hospital, shes getting bigger and almost ready to move out of the hospital. Gina, Anah, Steven, their friends, Greg and Jenna and I went on the Kalispell Art Walk friday night, it was fun, Gina and I met up with our friends Will and Krysta for some dancing, always fun. Winter is fully upon us, Micah and I are getting ski gear ready for the season which started today, all in all a great week, here are some misc. pics. Hope you all have a great week!!

Like Two Thanksgivings!!

What a great week! Got to see Grandma and Grandpa Dasen for round one of Thanksgiving week, had a wonderful time eating prime rib and just hanging out with them, we miss them being around all the time!! Work was crazy the rest of the week then Thanksgiving, round two, the whole family again plus Scott (Stevens Dad) this time, how nice!! On Wednesday night Gina and I got away a little, went baby clothes shopping and had a nice late dinner at Famos Daves, all in all a GREAT WEEK!

Winter is here......So is EVA!!

Busy and Wild couple of weeks, last sunday, as most of you know, Isaiah and Kaiti brought lil Eva into the world, about 8 weeks early, but she and Mom are doing GREAT. She has been gaining about an oz per day and is up to almost 4lbs 8oz's!! Isaiah figured it out and said every oz she gains is like him putting on 15 lbs proportionately! I spent part of Sunday working on Anah and Stevens baby room for the pending birth of Anah's lil baby as well, doing out best here to keep the population growing! Looking forward to a nice dinner on Sunday and Thanksgiving Holiday, all just around the corner!!

Halloween Fun

Busy couple of weeks, Anah and Kaiti are looking pregnant! Getting close to baby time, just under 2 months, hard to believe. Gina and I went to a Halloween party last night, it was fun, this will be the first Halloween in over 20 years that we have not gone to Trinity's Family Fun night, not really missing it :) There is already lots of Snow on the Really Big Mountain, looks like its gonna be a good year. Micah is at a speech and debate tourney in Polson today, just got the report, he won 2 out of 3 of his debates, awesome job!! Busy Times

Not even sure what I wrote about last time, its been a while, but here is the recap: Gina and I had a great, but short, trip to Vancouver, WA, Isaiah and Kaiti are doing great in Eureka, they watched as Glacier Bank burned to the ground last week, exciting!! Anah and Steven came over to carve pumpkins and hang for a while and Micah had his first Speech and Debate Meet this weekend, even talked me into judging a round of varsity debate, and he won one of his rounds! Once again, slacking

Busy weeks! Lets see, where to start....Isaiah and Kaiti are all moved into their place in Eureka and the store is open! They are doing a great job and everyone is happy with them. Micah is in the middle of drivers ed and is really loving going to the High School, went to his open house and got to meet his teachers. He also went to the homecoming dance and, rumor has it, even danced! Anah and Steven are working on the baby room in the middle of both working two jobs. Anah still is working at family health care but is now working at one of my favorite hang outs, City Brew coffee!! Gina's working away for Bank of America which is always busy! Other than that, Gina and I are headed for Vancouver for a meeting on Friday for me, gonna hang out a little and prob. have to shop. Hope all is well and we will post sooner this time (I hope_)

Trying to keep current!!

Another week in the books! Micah is in Drivers Ed, driving, studying, etc. Isaiah and Kaiti officially spent their first night in their home in Eureka, still a little left to do on the store but think it will open this upcoming week. Me and Gina are working away, getting ready for Fall and Winter, enjoying life. Anah had her baby shower this weekend, Gina's folks came up for it, nice time (from what I hear anyhow). Pics and Updates

Having probs with the pics but here is the news: Isaiah and Kaiti are all set up with a home and ready for the big move to Eureka and the opening of the store, kind of exciting. Anah's had a 3d ultrasound last week, it was cool! The fair was crazy, worked like 14 days in a row, tired but sort of fun in a work sort of way. Micah is in Drivers Ed!! Two Weddings in August, Two bachelor parties and two bachelorette parties (Gina and I both crashed the others parties, which was fun). Gina's work is going great, her teams did so good that she go to do a cruise on the Far West and is getting the very coveted job of Permanent Quality control, only 4 positions in the whole company of over 800 people!! Always lots going on around here for sure!!

Slacking on the Posts!!

WAY too long since last post, been crazy busy both at work and at home, lets see, where to even start! On the 2nd of August we celebrated Ginas bday with a huge Chinese meal and awesome cake! The weekend after we had Tonys Bachelor party, was a good time, we all had a blast. Worked like crazy the next week then had rehearsal dinner for tony and Mandy, then Saturday was the wedding, I actually "officiated" the wedding, now everyone is calling me "pastor". Tried to catch up on some chores Sunday, then off to work early on Monday, Wednesday the fair started and right now, Sunday afternoon, i am sitting at our booth for the last day of the fair, after an 80 hour week, i am ready for it to be over!! Tomorrow, back to the grind in the office. Wednesday Micah starts school, kind of crazy how fast the summer went, need to take more time off and enjoy!!

What UP??

Nice rainy thunder storm morning today so I thought I would update the ol blog, can't believe how long its been, where does time go? Guess we have been busy, busy, busy. Here is the quick update: Micah has been playing Starcraft II and enjoying the summer jet skiing, golfing, etc., Isaiah and Kati are slowly getting ready to move to Eureka, the store is being built out and Isaiah's computer training is about done. Anah and Steven are having lots of summer fun and their big news if finding out that Anah is going to have a baby Girl!! She just sent a text saying "Pink and Glitter", poor Steven, he's gonna be outnumbered, lol. Gina is staying busy at work and keeping up the lawn and enjoying the sun. I am working, just getting over a midsummer cold (yuck) and also enjoying the summer. Hope you all have a great week! Here are a few pics of last weekend.

Beautiful Week

What a nice week here in the Flathead! Hot days, cool nights, lots of sun, all anyone could ask for. Isaiah turned 21 on Friday, we celebrated with a trip to Wassabi for a sushi marathon (yes, you can eat that much sushi!). Anah and Steven are in Seattle with Steven's dad watching a bunch of baseball games, its always fun to see pro sports. Micah got finished with camp, he had a blast and we went to our traditional "Flathead Lake Monster burger" at burger town after. Yard work, golf, kayaking, swimming and sunburns should round off our weekend. Hope you all have a great week, see ya soon.

Anah and Stevens Birthday

Anah and Steven celebrated 1/4 of a century on July 1st!! We had a nice BBQ, Cake, Ice Cream, all the stuff that makes birthdays toooo much fun. 4th of July weekend, long weekend for Gina, which is really nice. On Sunday Micah starts high school camp. The biggest news is that Isaiah and Kati are moving to Eureka where they are going to run a MontanaSky Store for us which is going to be great, they are excited for the move but its going to be quiet around here! Wow, Early Post!!

Most of the time I do these posts on Saturday or Sunday morning, sometimes I even wait an extra week or so, had a little time and a little news so the post is going today! Great week, hard rain, nice sunshine, thunder storms, work, play, fun, just a nice week. The big news was that Micah had his Golf Clinic all week and ended up winning the 14 to 17 year old chipping competition, great job Micah!! The next Tiger?? Told him to get with it and support his old dad :) USA won soccer, through to the next round, Italy lost out, can't believe it, my heart is out for all our Italian friends. Next round for the US is tomorrow, can't wait!

Nice Days

After almost getting over the tragic recall of the US goal at the world cup putting us into a "must win" position we moved on with the weekend. Had a great Saturday, watched some world cup, did a ton of yard work and had a nice quiet evening of R&R. Anah and Steven are in Sacramento CA on a little vacation, well, dropping off a car and then flying home anyhow. Isaiah and Katy are watching their dogs and Micah is officially the new lawn mower of our home. He starts golf this week after being rained out last week, hopefully the weather will cooperate. Micah and I went to the new Super Walmart yesterday, complete with food court and hospital, yip, hospital in Walmart!! Work is going good and all is well. Hope you all have a good week!

Summer??

After the Picnic at Trinity Camp for Micah's Graduation the week was pretty uneventful. It rained and rained and rained. Wednesday I went to Missoula for a meeting with a new potential business partner with MontanaSky, meeting went well and I made it home before 10pm. The weekend brought the Sunshine. Friday night we went out with some friends and had a good time. Today was beautiful, worked for a bit, Isaiah, Katie and Micah went to Flathead lake for a while, Micah then went to the movie with all his classmates. Gina and I went to home depot for some flowers, got a bunch of stuff done around the yard, I went for a nice hike and it was a wonderful evening by the river. Tomorrow is going to be really nice, looking forward to a great day! Hope you all have a great week!

8th Grade Grad

Nice Weekend, got to see the new pastor of Polson Lutheran Church, Kyle Whaley, had a bbq friday night, Saturday got up early and got all the chores done, Micah and I went to the golf course for a bit, had a nice lunch, did some Costco shopping, Anah and Steven came over for BBQ Burgers and movies, all in all a great day. Sunday we got up and went to church and Micahs graduation from 8th grade, after we went to Trinity Camp for an afternoon of fun and food, home for a lazy Sunday evening and off for another week!!

Memorial Day Weekend

Uneventful but nice! We spent Saturday just doing little projects around the home, Sunday was SyFy Sunday including one of the BEST movies ever made, Mega Piranha!! We spent the afternoon BBQing Ribs and had a great dinner of ribs, corn on the cob, baked beans and potatoes. The kids played games all afternoon. Monday was "get it done" day, lots of home stuff, always nice to kick out. Next weekend with be very busy with Micahs graduation and picnic, almost done with Trinity School after so many years, its gonna be strange. Hope you all have a great week! Confirmation Sunday

Today was Confirmation Day for Micah, and a great one it was. On Friday Micah had his questioning at the church, he did a great job. Saturday after work we had a nice BBQ with Gina's folks and then on Sunday the whole family went to church to see Micah get confirmed and have his first communion. After the service we had a great meal of Shrimp Scampi, Terriaki Kabobs, Crab Salad, potatoes, asparagus and Sushi with everybody, kids played lots of cards and we just had a nice day. Next on the agenda, Micah's 8th grade graduation! Hope you all have a great week!

What a Slacker!!

Can't believe that a month has passed since my last post! Where to Start......Isaiah is working for a collection company, he actually seems to enjoy it, Anah and Steven are busy as always, don't see enough of them. End of April brought the Polson Trade fair which I got to work on behalf of MontanaSky, the following weekend Gina and I escaped for a few days to just hang out and have some fun, the weekend after that it was my Birthday and Mothers Day, didn't do much other than have a nice BBQ with Anah, Steven, Isaiah, Katy, Micah and Gina and I all having a great day. After that I took off for a Dish Network Convention in San Antonio, had a great time and just LOVE San Antonio, had no idea it was such a great city! We got to see ZZ Top, Dana Carvey and other shows at the convetion and spend LOTS of time in classes and lectures, informative and fun! Home now and getting ready for Micah's confirmation questioning on Friday night, confirmation on Sunday, Micah's train trip (to east glacier) on the following week and his graduation from 8th grade and the end of our time at Trinity on June 6th, wow, what a busy time its been and what a busy time is coming up! What a Week

April, as always, is proving to be an exceptionally busy month, Tax day, lots of work, end of school stuff starting to take place, spring cleaning, yard starting to take off, lots and lots going on. The sad note this week was the passing of our friend and one of our office mascots, Calico, we will miss you Calico!

Another Late Post

Geeze, don't know what up lately, working the past few Saturdays, Easter, more work...the time sure rushes by! Short recap of the past few weeks: Isaiah is searching for a full time job, still working for MontanaSky doing some web design but wants more hours, good luck Zay. Micah has been working out almost every day at the summit, great job, got his 3rd qtr report card, all A's and B's, stellar performance Micah. Anah and Steven are working away, just finally got a washer and dryer so she can do laundry at home. Shes pretty happy about that. Gina is doing great at work and enjoying her evenings hiking and dragging me out to go dance. I am just working and hanging out around the home, nice spot we have. Micah and I have been flying a bit with Fred in the Helicopter, which is always fun. On Easter Sunday we had a "non-traditional" Easter dinner. BBQ Steaks and Chicken with a Baked Potato Bar, Salads, rolls, Green Bean Casserole, great dinner for sure. Me, Gina, Micah, Isaiah, Kati, Anah and Steven all had fun then the kids all went to the movies. Very nice day. Well, that's about it, see ya next time.
